We realise, however, that things can go wrong and there may be occasions when you feel that we have not provided the service you expect. When this happens Pets in a Pickle want to hear about it so that we can try to put things right. Pets in a Pickle are happy to receive complaints communications in whatever form or medium is appropriate for your circumstances.

If your pet is seriously injured or needs immediate medical assistance, you should take them straight to your local veterinary practice.

Claims Questions

How do I claim for vet bills?

If your pet has received treatment and you are looking to make a claim, you will need to fill in a claim form. You can download one here.

This is included in your Policy Documents when you take the policy out, as well as at each renewal date. Simply return this form, along with the invoice and medical notes and a Veterinary claims assessor will review your claim alongside the policy terms to make payment.

Payment can be made via BACS transfer either directly to yourself, or to the treating vet if they offer this service. Should you have any further questions, call the Pets in a Pickle claims team on 0330 126 0002 (Lines open Monday to Friday 8am-8pm Saturday 9am-2pm).

How long does the claim process take?

Providing all the correct information has been submitted, we aim to settle all claims within 4 weeks. If anything is outstanding, the settlement time could increase.
